Transience
In the back of beyond,
Somewhere a siren slowly wails.
Unheard in the disquiet,
Lamenting the winds of change.
In the murky waters,
The feathers that far drift.
Ripples in calmness,
A destiny by anonymous.
Footprints on flowing sand,
Water that salvages the remains.
Whistles in the wind,
The leaves that lie unraked.
Golden blossoms,
Blazing in the sunshine.
Sun setting in the horizon,
A beauty of another time.
Tiny buds,that from oblivion peek,
Dew drops on their surface,
Petals that of bliss reek.
What of the moon,
That in its allure, reigns?
A globe of white incandescence,
That evil feigns.
Seconds elapse,
And suddenly time has gone away.
Trapped you lie,in the hourglass,
Bound by some inexplicable chains.
